Role Summary: As the Business Development Consultant for Northern Europe, you will drive profitable growth by recruiting new and suitable business partners, and by providing sales and training support to our network of new and existing commercial partners in the Northern-European reseller sales region. This will be achieved by the identification and development of new business opportunities (new partners) as well as having direct responsibility for some aspects of both partner training and account management. Follow health, safety and environmental guidelines and procedures in respect of personal, departmental and company activities. Occasional translation of sales and marketing material (into native language) Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Regional Sales Manager. New-Business Development Multi-channel research of and development of first points of contact with potential partners identify new sales-partner opportunities which fulfil the necessary criteria for our business o Create and update contact lists o Manage and carry out introductory communications o Enthusiastic and professional use of social media for business purposes and in line with company policies Host introductory (usually online) meetings with new-partner opportunities and onboard them. In so doing, demonstrate a very good knowledge of our full range of products and services. Manage any new business enquiries that come through for the specified sales region. Take ownership for developing new partners from first opportunity (contact or lead) through to first invoiced sale. Filter and disseminate qualified opportunities to field sales as the next point of contact and expedite progress of field-sales team Meet specified sales targets and KPIs related to new business development Carry out the new-partner set-up process and proactively follow this through to first invoiced sale oCheck and upload all necessary new-application documents o Liaise with partner, field-sales and other departments to ensure correct process is followed o "Hand-holding" of new partners through their initial touch-point of each process to ensure a seamless onboarding Account Management Act as a secondary point of contact when field sales are not available, dealing with general enquiries and ensuring continuity of a high level of communication with partners Assist with hospitality and meetings when business partners visit site(s) when required. Raise company profile and develop business by attending and participating in relevant exhibitions when required. Support the field-sales team with chasing and expediting leads, quotations, approvals and collections Meet specified sales targets and KPIs related to account management Training Provide online and, occasionally when required, face-to-face initial and refresher training to partners on Company sales processes, such as: online order system (LINC and others), price lists, use of partner portal, warranty and parts-ordering process, drawing-approval process, logistics process, invoicing and payment process. Meet specified sales targets and KPIs related to training To be considered for this opportunity you will have: Fluency and proficiency both orally and written in English and German. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing and social media strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of providing customer support. This includes customer-needs assessment, meeting high-quality standards in customer support, and an understanding of customer satisfaction. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in business-development and in demonstrating dynamic ways to improve / grow business. In this role you'll use Flowable software to design and build automated solutions that streamline processes whilst leveraging your HTML, CSS & JavaScript (React) knowledge to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for our workflows. You'll collaborate with Atom's UX team and others to ensure solutions meet user needs and you'll occasionally contribute to other Business Lending applications honing your skills in Python(Django). Additionally, there is potential for you to work on Atom's website expanding your skills in React and utilising static site generation. As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll develop your coding skills by following established standards, participate in pair programming and attend delivery meetings, whilst benefiting from mentorship and coaching from experienced Engineers to further your development as a Software Engineer at Atom. You will: Develop workflows using the Flowable platform. Customise workflows by integrating CSS & React components. Collaborate with the wider Value Stream & Engineering teams. Contribute to delivery meetings, providing basic task sizing, progress & blockers. Develop an understanding of testing best practices. Take ownership of a variety of items, including complex features and dependency updates. Work with stakeholders to refine solutions What do we need from you? Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area and/or equivalent experience working in a commercial environment. Knowledge of HTML, CSS & JavaScript Experience of CSS frameworks, such as Tailwind Understanding of CSS methodologies e.g. BEM Experience of React fundamentals Basic experience of style libraries e.g. Chakra UI Knowledge of Java Working knowledge of best practices/standards in web development Understanding of secure computing standards and processes A curious mindset and appetite to learn new technologies What you'll get from us?
