Samples Innovation Creativity SHOULD YOU BE ON BAKE OFF?, DO YOU LOVE ALL THINGS CAKE? We are seeking someone who is passionate about baking to join our development team as a development baker. The main points of the role are: Make all "kitchen samples" Work closely with NPD technologist and the NPD Manager to manage key timings/workload. Keep abreast of kitchen ingredients/packaging, ensure traceability clear tub identification, allergen segregation, BB date rotation within the kitchen and cupboards Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, including the packaging area within the NPD kitchen, and cupboards. Aid with sample preparation demands box up, print labels and addresses ect. Support team with workload to "get the job done" Ensure that clean as you go is maintained through out the day and complete a weekly deep clean. Attend team meetings as required Ensure consumables and ingredients are kept on top of i.e. piping bags and raw materials are always in stock. Ensure all NPD freezers are in order and residual samples disposed of. Support with ad hoc project work. Support trials and launches when required i.e customer sample collections and raw material collections. Support with AWs and PH recording. Support with NPD documents when needed NPD folder organising, Organs, Factory paper work To comply with and assist with implementation of company food safety, quality, and legality policies as they relate to the role. The ideal candidate will: Have accuracy, attention to detail and a numerate approach to provide data on time in the right format. Be a confident, articulate and courteous communicator over the phone, face-to-face and in writing. Be highly flexible, competent and adaptable and take responsibility for own improvement. Junior Development Chef £24k per annum Monday - Friday/8am - 5pm Wrexham Our client based in Wrexham is looking for a Junior Development Chef to join their team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a foodie with a positive, can-do approach. If you are looking to develop a career in a food business, learning from and supporting our client's development chef, then this is the role for you. This is a junior role with the focus of developing skills to move into a range of roles across the business from development chef to sales, marketing or operations depending on the skillset. Performance Objectives Packing samples. Managing sample stock. Tracking and auditing sample deliveries. Prepping for the chefs. Kitchen cleaning and maintenance of stock for the kitchen for product presentations. Supporting 2 Development Chefs as you develop in your own role. Maintaining data in the CRM system. You will be trained on our client's market leading product sampling service. You will also have the opportunity to meet customers whether that is supporting the team at National Exhibitions or wholesaler and cash and carry events, working together with the development chef, marketing, and sales team. Person Specification Do you have experience in the hospitality sector and looking for a change or a general interest in food service? We are looking for someone to join the team who's happy working in a fast-paced environment, has good Microsoft office skills, is a team player, keen to learn new skills. You'll need to be able to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. Can do attitude. Team player. Organised/attention to detail. Computer literate - there will be training on the specific systems. Driving licence and transport is essential.
