We are looking for a diligent and analytical Technical Manager to take on a challenging role resolving legacy issues on a large scale West London residential development. This role would most likely suit a structural engineer with further technical management experience in a developer or contractor who is interested in solving technical complexities. Client Details This is a newly-created opportunity at one of London's leading residential developers. Description As the Technical Manager you will report to a Senior Technical Manager with a wealth of high-rise and complex building experience to help deliver solutions to legacy issues on a large-scale residential development in West London. Your key responsibilities will include: Investigation of completed buildings to identify potential structural, facade, a fire risk issues Management of the consultant team including close working with the structural consultants to drive the development of design solutions Oversight of the design development considering the challenges of sequencing and temporary works requirements Coordination with contractors to ensure the smooth and accurate delivery of remediation works This role will be attached to this project for at least 1 year prior to moving onto a new project in the pipeline in a more traditional new build delivery role or further legacy project work depending on interest and availability of roles. Profile A successful Technical Manager should have: Ideally a structural engineering background but other design backgrounds (e.g. Architecture, civil design, etc.) will be considered Proven technical management experience delivering high rise residential schemes through construction A highly analytical approach and ability to deep dive into technical challenges to identify effective, practical solutions Fantastic communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues simply and coordinate with both internal and external teams You must have the right to work in the UK.
