An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to undertake the registration of 10 Supported Accommodation Services around Birmingham and oversee 2 managers. The services are a combination of single and multi-occupancy homes. The accommodation will support young adults aged 16-18. The aim of the homes is to provide a safe haven in which young people can learn appropriate life skills and behaviour, which will benefit them throughout their future. Duties and Responsibilities General oversight ensuring the safe running of the services. Ensuring policies and procedures are in place and compliant with Ofsted/CQC guidelines. Implementation of effective QA tool across all services in preparation for Ofsted/CQC registration. Effective oversight of budgeting in conjunction with managers Oversight of staff recruitment in conjunction with managers Business development for new referrals Participation in the multiple disciplinary function across the business. Requirements: QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management or working towards A minimum of 2 years' experience working within a Care Leavers service in a supervisory capacity. Sound knowledge of governing legislation and policies and procedures for both Ofsted and CQC. Driving Licence. We have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join a specialist organisation based in Birmingham. The organisation currently run a number of Semi Independent homes for young people aged 16-21. They have now opened their first Residential Care Home for children aged 8-18 with EBD. The new service is based in Halesowen. We are looking to recruit Residential Support Workers to join this new home. The position is full time and the pay rate will be dependent on qualification and experience. You will work 2 long days, 7am to 10pm with sleep ins, followed by 4 days off. The Residential Support Worker role involves: Using life skills, you will assist with the care of our children and young people, including practical aspects such as cooking and cleaning. Take part in a range of interesting recreational events, including holidays where appropriate. You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times. Consistency and organisation skills are key. You will create timetables, setting boundaries and expectations for the young people. You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
