Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a West Yorkshire based Local Authority to recruit a Structural Design Engineer on an initial three-month contract.
The post-holder will use a range of skills and abilities include having a detailed knowledge of structural issues associated with new build, extensions, remodelling and refurbishment of all building types (Domestic/Commercial/Schools/Sports Centres/Care Homes) including historic and listed buildings.
Role Information

As the Interim Structural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in providing structural design expertise for a wide range of building projects across various sectors, including domestic, commercial, schools, sports centres, and care homes.
Your responsibilities will encompass structural design, feasibility assessments, surveys, investigations, and environmental assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize your detailed knowledge of structural issues to provide expertise on new builds, extensions, remodelling, and refurbishment projects across various building types.
The candidate will be expected to work with and lead our client's design team, managing the workflow through their office and ensuring compliance with all latest design codes and standards.
Undertaking structural designs and surveys on a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial projects, ranging from simple internal alterations to more prestigious new dwelling and commercial developments.
This is a remote role and will suit an individual located somewhere Leeds and Sheffield
