Role: Senior Mechanical Services Designer Employment Basis: Fulltime Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire Our client, a mechanical services engineering company who specialize in all aspects of the design and installation of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Water services and Fire Protection of buildings nationwide in the retail, leisure and commercial sectors. Due to the thriving reputation within the industry, theyhave secured projects and opportunities that allow for a programme of sustained growth to be implanted and looking to add enthusiastic Mechanical Services Design Engineers to the expanding team. The successful candidate will have a passion for engineering and problem solving and will be excited about the prospect of working in a role that provides excellent opportunities for growth and experience including both office work and site visits. Duties & Responsibilities: Responsiblefor all aspectsofthe designofmechanical services systems includingductwork,pipework anddrainage sizing and layouts, plant andterminal selection, plantroom design, maintenanceaccess and requirements all within the dictates of the relevant specifications,codes ofpractices and statutory regulations. Preparation of fully coordinated designs from initial feasibility or specification stage through to construction phase ensuring compliance with industry standards and building regulations Use of Autocad 2D and Revit 3D. Use of Hevacomp thermal modelling software. Responsible through presentation, behaviour and professionalism for the continuing growth of the Company?s reputation and Client base. Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and growth of the company design standards. Be ambassadors for the company in all external communications and interactions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the more junior engineers and be a positive role model in the office. Review and approve junior staffs design documents, calculations, specifications and external company communications etc. Oversee multiple large design projects simultaneously ensuring quality, compliance and timely delivery. Act as a point of contact for client and stakeholder communication, alongside relevant KAMs where applicable. Collaborate with other departments such as the operations team to optimize project execution. Positively participate in business development activities, provide ideas for and drive innovation Requirements: Technical knowledge HVACengineering processes is vital. Qualified to HND level or higher preferred. Computer literate and able touse Microsoftoffice applications and design software tools - Autocad and Hevacomp preferred. Well-developed presentational skills.
