JOB Manufacturing / Production Engineer LOCATION Farnborough TERM- Permanent SALARY £37,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are looking for a Manufacturing / Production Engineer on a permanent basis in the Farnborough / Frimley area with experience in the mechanical Manufacturing Industry. Your main duties will include assisting to implement new products within the manufacturing line as well as optimising manufacturing processes. This would also be well suited to a CNC / CAM Programmer with experience of programming in a precision environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical position. Experience within CNC, CAM programming or similar processes. Familiar with Milling or Turning processes (preferably milling) Familiar with tooling / fixtures. Be responsible for the introduction of new machine tools. Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written Experience working within a regulated manufacturing industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices, Oil and Gas, Special Purpose Machinery etc.) Ability to work independently as well as team. Oversee process improvement and optimisation projects and responsibilities. Capable of sliding head machines very advantageous. The main duties of Manufacturing Engineer role will involve: Oversea products from design through to production. Liaising with design to conclude best manufacturing process. Carry out CAM / CNC programming of various CNC Milling machines including some sliding head. Oversee tooling introduction as well as jigs and fixtures. Liaise with other departments to help improve efficiency of the manufacturing processes. Lead the introduction of new machine tools. Key Responsibilities: Audio DSP programming - Configure, test & commission DSP devices based on system design & functionality requirements. Network Configuration - Integrate AV controls and monitoring to client networks. Engineering support - Provide technical support in the design and functionality of systems control. Systems Testing - Assist both in-house and field testing of systems with integrated control. Product Development - Work to develop standardizations for touch panel interfaces and control code development to help streamline programming costs. Report/document any problematic products.
