What you'll be doing In this key and varied role, you will be pivotal in driving operational effectiveness and achieving business objectives and strategic KPIs through timely and insightful analysis. You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on customer behaviour patterns and engagement, ensuring data quality and integrity, and advising on and contributing to enhancements in business processes. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing department, various business units, and IET volunteers to fully leverage available data. Your insights will play a crucial role in improving and enhancing the customer journey, producing analyses and reports that inform business activities and go-to-market strategies. What we hope you can bring to the role Ideally you will bring a wealth of expertise to the role, including strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly assimilate complex information. You must have solid knowledge and experience using statistical and analytical tools, especially Power BI, and an understanding of how to improve data quality and assurance. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills are essential, also excellent organisational and planning abilities. You should be adept at managing workloads, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines. The ability to act on your own initiative while effectively collaborating as part of a team is crucial. A little more about the role Provide business intelligence, data analysis and expert advice to business units, volunteers and marketing teams to support strategic KPIs and business objectives Adapt, extend and enhance Business Intelligence reports for marketing and big data use across all IET products and services Support the IET's change management programme providing guidance and advice as Subject Matter Expert Support the Head of Data & Insight in preparing reports and insights to demonstrate business impacts in line with KPIs and other objectives Manage the day-to-day relationships with the IET's IT solutions teams, data protection team and external Martech providers (including email, SMS and marketing automation tools) to ensure marketing and business colleagues are up to date with latest techniques and guidance Proactively review use of data assets and identify ways to increase value return from internal and external data Work with Marketing team to explore and expand customer engagement at the campaign level, including testing and best practice recommendations, to continually improve effectiveness of email marketing campaigns to maximise budget ROI Stay informed of changes to data compliance and the e-marketing landscape, to ensure that business, volunteer and direct marketing activities are compliant with all relevant internal IET policies and procedures, the Data Protection Act, General Data Protection Regulations and subsequent amendments Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by the line manager A little more about what we're looking for Strong analytical skills and ability to assimilate complex information quickly Strong knowledge & experience of using statistical and analytical tools, including Power BI. About you We are looking for someone with a background in computing, computer science, business analysis or a related field, who has considerable experience with designing, generating, analysing and manipulating CRM reports and reporting tools. In addition, you will: Have experience in auditing data and activity to ensure contractual compliance Be numerate and proficient at handling, manipulating and presenting quantitative data Be IT Literate with an emphasis on advanced Excel and database skills Have experience of and working knowledge of HR processes for managing people and teams Have people management skills, in particular motivating and encouraging others, coaching and mentoring, adaptable communication style, managing conflict, giving feedback, etc).
