SEND Teaching Assistant Barnsley Supply May 2024 Long Term Contract starting asap full time ongoing need to support in Education and training across South Yorkshire and specfically Barnsely. Academics LTD are eager to recruit a TA with experience of working in SEN setting/provisions, specifically experience in autism & Primary. Also looking for TA who has previous experience of supporting none verbal students and helping with speech and language barriers. Need to be a patient and calm candidate with strong understanding of breaking down barriers to learning and descalation strategies. The role involves supporting students with Social, emotional & behavioural difficulties, predominately pupils on the Autistic spectrum and with EBD but within a mainstream setting. This is a role of working within Education and Training sector and could be as classroom assistant, 1:1 or 2:1 basis. Primary, SEND or PRU experience helpful. SEN Experienced Preferred and relevant qualifications for TA roles, graduates also welcomed as this School have embraced growing their own futiure teacher's and offer a 2 year TA to teacher plan for suitable candidates. The role involves ensuring the work set is differentiating accordingly, helping meet individual student needs. This is for a full time long term SEN role for at least a term to start ASAP, with the opportunity for permanent posts in the future if desired. Experience & Knowledge of working with pupils on P Scales desirable.
