We are seeking a competent individual who has initiative and a strong Customer focussed mind-set - with a minimum of 5 years experience. This role would initially be covering maternity for an existing staff member. However for the right candidate we would look at extending your employment to become a permanent member of our team of 17 (6 in the office and 11 field engineers). Your main duties would be, but are not limited to:- Assisting our project mangers with putting together costs for their projects/tenders You would build a strong relationship with local merchants and sub-contractors to seek Their most competitive cost for materials/specialist services. Seek costs for smaller re-active jobs to assist the Service Team. Whether this be on-line Or using our branch based merchants. To put a quotation together, for the smaller re-active jobs, with the supervision of our office team. Raise purchase orders Assist in calender scheduling for our engineers Monitor Staff Training and ensure no ones accreditations expire. (including Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling etc) Review Sub-Contractor Insurances, making sure their Insurances are in date and we have a record of policy on file. Monitor progress of jobs, and ensure completed jobs are sent to Invoicing. Essential Skills required: To be able to Multi-task and work under pressure An excellent team player Attention to detail Customer focussed Confidence to work independently using own initiative. Good Afternoon! We are currently recruiting for a CCTV Operator to work for Thames Valley Police and be based at the Reading Borough Council Civic Offices. This is a 12 month contract role working Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis. An opportunity has arisen for a CCTV Operator to work in Reading. The purpose of this role is to monitor multiple cameras in a number of locations to provide information to operational police officers and in any case to help reduce crime. A CCTV Operator will Monitor and operate CCTV equipment including cameras, radios and ancillary equipment making appropriate pro-active and reactive responses to assist with the detection of crime, antisocial behaviour and to support the reduction of crime, disorder and the fear of crime. A CCTV Operator must possess excellent communication and listening skills to gain trust with internal / external customers at all levels. An Ability to work within clearly defined parameters / procedures KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS: Operate all CCTV equipment, radios, and ancillary equipment to provide pro-active and reactive monitoring of CCTV cameras to assist with the detection of crime, antisocial behaviour and to support the reduction of crime, disorder and the fear of crime. Maintain a close liaison with the Control Rooms, police personnel and CCTV partners in relation to any incidents. Use police databases and computer systems to gather, monitor, record and communicate information to appropriate police personnel. Monitor, operate and communicate using all forms of equipment. Supply extracts from CCTV recordings to support the front line and maintain records in compliance with MOPI, CCTV Codes of Practice and TVP policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Good standard of education including excellent numeracy and literacy skills Proven interpersonal and communicating skills including a clear and concise telephone manner and the ability to communicate at all levels. Recent experience of working within a team environment and relevant experience of working alone and setting own priorities. Proven ability to concentrate for long periods of time and have excellent observational skills. Willing to work towards or current and up to date Highfield level 2 award for working as a CCTV Operator (public space surveillance) within the private Security Industry SIA licence. (Training will be provided). Recent experience using Windows IT systems (Word, Excel and Outlook) Must have good attention to detail and ability to multi task when required.
