CrossReach Children's Disability Services, have been providing care and support for children & young people with a wide range of disabilities and additional support needs for 30 years.
Through a popcorn & movie night with a familiar film, playing a favourite game in the garden, or by providing the right sensory environment, our team works in partnership with families to create a home away from home experience based on the needs of the young person.As Senior Children's Worker, you will take a lead role with the team to provide care and support appropriate to the needs of the individual child or young person, planning and implementing activities to meet the individual needs and aspirations of the young people we support.
Working to ensure the smooth running of the service this might be in the kitchen, dining room, laundry or general housekeeping tasks.Your job is important here and it's something that everyone notices right from the start.

There are three different areas within this role, including working in the kitchen, laundry and in the house itself, although the job is primarily focus on working in the laundry.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with children, young people, and staff.Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to childcare and safeguarding and a diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Childcare, Psychology) is preferred.
