Your new company One of Northern Ireland's largest public sector authorities located in Co. Armagh, with an estate that includes leisure facilities, parks, public buildings and offices, have an immediate requirement for an M&E Maintenance Supervisor. Your new role This is a contract position for a duration of c.6-9 months based in Craigavon and working at other locations throughout the area. The main purpose of the job is to deliver a high-level M&E maintenance service across this organisation's properties, effectively managing all relevant M&E resources and ensuring that works are completed in accordance with set requirements and in compliance with all relevant Statutory Legislation. You have responsibility for leading and supervising the building maintenance M&E team. Some of the duties include: Direct day to day supervision of M&E staff and external contractors; to include monitoring of work allocation and standard of service delivered, highlighting and addressing sub standards. Daily decision-making on planning, prioritising, allocation and organising the M&E team and external contractors to complete a variety of planned and reactive M&E maintenance. Carry out survey work, preparation of costing and progressing approved maintenance requests as necessary, ensuring compliance with all relevant Statutory Regulations. What you'll need to succeed To be eligible for this position you must meet the following: BS 7671 18th Edition qualification 2382, City & Guilds or equivalent. AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: NVQ level 3 craft qualification C&G 2357 installing electro-technical systems OR C&G 2356 level 3 in electrical installation OR C&G 236 electrical installation parts 1&2 or A&B A minimum of 5 years' post apprentice/time served as an electrician within the Building Maintenance or Construction industry and working strictly to recognised regulations. Two years' experience to include each of the following:- Providing technical support and assistance to other maintenance trades namely plumbing; Supervising and motivating staff teams; AND Cost estimating, ordering materials and equipment. What you'll get in return This role offers an immediate start working with a large public sector estates department for a 6-9 month period, which may extend or present the opportunity to become a permanent post. £35,745 per annum, pro rata. 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 4.30 pm and Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm. 34 Days annual leave including stat days. Paid weekly via BACS transfer. Business mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile. The estate includes a beautiful 800sqm home, stables with horses, dogs, and lovely gardens and grounds. The ideal couple will take pride and enjoyment from their role as a domestic couple. Roles and Responsibilities to include: Housekeeper/Interior: - Maintain the pristine condition of the home with high-level cleaning and presentation akin to a hotel standard. - Attention to detail in tasks such as ironing, laundry, bed changing, and towel folding. - Discretion and respect for privacy within the home. - Keep inventories or household supplies ensuring a good level of stock at all times. Groundsman/Estate Maintenance: - Care for the grounds and gardens, including sweeping leaves, lawn maintenance, and watering (there is a garden service team on site fortnightly). - Assisting with mucking out stables for the horses. - Walking and caring for the family dog and looking after other animals on the estate when the owners are away. - General estate maintenance including paddock checks, fencing, water supply management, and indoor arena upkeep. - Basic vehicle upkeep and cleaning, occasional driving, and monitoring and setting the estate CCTV, alarm & security systems. - Proactive approach to tasks and pride in maintaining the estate's high standards. - Firewood maintenance Candidate requirements: - Pride in your work and a proactive attitude. - Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision. - Genuine enjoyment and comfort around animals, particularly horses and dogs. - Must enjoy a countryside setting and lifestyle. - Previous experience in similar roles preferred. - Discreet and respectful of privacy, with excellent boundaries. - Flexibility to adjust schedules when hosting guests or traveling. - DBS check and excellent references required. - Driving licence - You must have checkable references and a clear and recent DBS check.
