Their closely-knit team of designers, craftsmen and metalworkers are looking for a talented Cabinet Maker / Joiner. They need someone with a sharp eye and exceptional attention to detail. Their ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' worth of relevant industry experience and ideally have a good understanding of metalworking (although not essential). Above all, you should be passionate about your work and have a willingness to learn. The right candidate should: Have a minimum of 5 years' worth of workshop-based professional experience. Have an existing right to work in the UK. Have a valid UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Be able to commute to their workshop in Northeast England or be able to relocate within 1 month. Possess at least basic working knowledge of metalwork (desirable but not essential). Have experience working with bespoke furniture commissions. Be technically minded, with a strong problem-solving ability. Experience with a variety of fabrication techniques and technologies, including traditional hand tools and modern digital fabrication equipment. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Flexibility and adaptability to learn new skills and technologies as needed. Skilled in interpreting and working from technical drawings. Strong technical skills in woodworking or other relevant crafts. Be willing and able to take instruction from the company Directors, and Workshop Manager, but to also be proactive and self-motivated. Possess deep enthusiasm, dedication, and a passion for making furniture. Have a desire to continually learn, improve and develop new skills, to be the very best you can be. The role will cover the following responsibilities: Interpret drawings. General furniture making. Assembly of complex items, involving multiple materials such as stones, glass, mirror. Apply finishes, such as patinas, stains, varnishes, or lacquers to enhance the appearance of the furniture. Utilise a variety of tools, equipment, and techniques to fabricate and construct objects or products according to design specifications. This may include woodworking, metalworking, or other skills. Manage projects through to all stages of manufacturing, finishing, and packaging. Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, including design iterations, materials used, fabrication processes. This documentation may be used for reference, replication, or future improvements. Collaborate with designers to conceptualise and develop designs for physical objects or products. Use traditional sketching techniques to create detailed plans and prototypes. This role offers a real opportunity to evolve and grow, both in responsibility and salary. The role will involve working on a Continental shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off 6pm - 6am with a pay rate of £11.86p/h plus 30% shift allowance. You will be joining a high preforming established team, with focus on customer and product quality in everything our client does, therefore, previous production line experience, particularly in a clean room, is preferred but not essential. Job Description The Manufacturing Technician will safely and efficiently produce high-quality Single Use medical products in a cGMP compliant cleanroom, whilst working to a defined production schedule ensuring orders are manufactured in full to achieve critical customer orders. Comply to safe working practices whilst using the required PPE. Follow the company 4i's values: Integrity Intensity Innovation Involvement Maintain 7s Standards within the production environment. Achieve and maintain all training aspects required. Ensure product quality is maintained and cGMP compliant. Handling of critical components. Setup/kitting of raw materials. Read, follow, and understand detailed assembly drawings/SOPs. Manual assembly of critical components on a defined production line. Assemble material components to stringent quality requirements. Inspect finished goods in line with approved customer specifications. Handling/use of manual, electronic and pneumatic hand tools. Accurately detail and record critical cGMP data in the batch record. Promote best practice, continuous improvements, and support PPI initiatives. Skills and Attributes Capable of working safely within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. Ability to read and accurately follow Batch Record Sheets, Standard Operation Procedures. Previous cGMP experience preferable. Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferably in a clean room environment.
