Role Responsibility As our new Case Manager, you will: Be the first point of contact for member queries on our telephone advice line. Provide medicolegal and ethical advice to members. Proactively manage assigned case files of varying complexity such as general advice, complaints, inquests and regulatory issues. Determine the level of member assistance to be granted in accordance with the membership policy and benefits on individual cases. Deliver fair treatment and outcomes for members at all times, remaining compliant with associated policies and standards. Other responsibilities may include presentations, article writing and coaching. Our team The In-house Team are a dedicated team of Document Production Specialists and an integral part of the Eversheds Sutherland community, delivering document processing services to Eversheds Sutherland offices worldwide. The professional background within the team is quite diverse with a large and complementary array of skills and abilities existing under the Eversheds Sutherland In-house roof. The In-house Team's aim is "to deliver the highest standards in service and quality to all practice groups and key clients". The responsibilities of the In-house Team can be dissected into a range of specialist areas such as; word processing from audio dictation; copy typing; amending document from instruction; formatting and styling documents to comply with house style and brand; designing and amending pitch and presentation documents in MS office using imagery and design tools; and proofreading of legal documents to name a few. The In-house Team process upwards of 150 tasks per day, with a variety of work types and time constraints from one task to the next. The In-house team operate on a largely remote working basis meaning a suitable homeworking space is essential to this role. Attendance to either our Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester or Birmingham offices are available at any time and monthly team days, support meetings and face to face training are held on site. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our day operation and add further support to our well established team. Role and key responsibilities Creating, formatting and updating pitches, presentations, posters and other collateral to align with the businesses' branding; Supporting the team with transcription of legal documents from digitally-dictated material (BigHand/Speech Recognition/Windows Media Player); Supporting the team with creating, amending legal documents, adhering to house styles, using MS Office suite; Supporting the team with reformatting of lengthy and complex documents, performing comparisons and conversions to different formats; Managing tight deadlines in a high volume production environment; Communicating with our clients to ensure the product meets the clients expectations and timeframe; Liaising with colleagues and your line manager to ensure work is produced to the highest possible standard; and Following set working processes and conforming to the businesses high standards of professionalism. Skills and experience Experience in creating or designing work within MS office and/or Adobe is essential Experience of working in a Document Production, Word Processing or secretarial position is preferred Experience in working within a busy legal or corporate environment would also be an advantage A suitable homeworking environment is essential - all work equipment to be provided You have an excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite You pay attention to the details.
