About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to join a London Council as the Director of Law and Governance.
In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for leading their legal and governance services, overseeing a high-performing team that includes legal services, committee services, elections, land charges, coroner services, member support, the mayoralty office, and information services.
You will support and advise elected members and officers on complex, high-profile matters that span planning, capital programs, workforce change, new legislation, and implementing the Grenfell Tower Inquiry recommendations.
The Housing Applications Senior officer will have a broad understanding of Housing solutions including, carrying out assessments of need and making decisions on applications and working with partner agencies to widen access to housing and promote alternative housing options for vulnerable and at risk' residents.
The Rehousing team is seeking a Housing Applications Senior Officer.
You will come with an understanding of allocations and homelessness legislation, how to manage competing priorities and be solutions focused.
