Assistant Accountant Location: Cambridge Our Client, a reputable accountancy practice in Cambridge, seeks an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA professional to contribute to a diverse range of accounting services. Responsibilities: - Assist in delivering high-quality accounting services to a varied client base, including limited companies, LLPs, and sole traders. - Prepare management & statutory accounts, monitor budgets, and handle monthly bookkeeping and management accounting. - Manage VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, and the production of profit and loss sheets. - Maintain the general ledger, reconciling entries and preparing trial balances for accuracy. - Engage in personal tax work, such as self-assessment tax compliance, and prepare corporation tax computations and CT600 returns. - Collaborate on ad-hoc assignments directed by the Account Manager. Requirements: - Degree-educated in a relevant field. - Full/Part qualified ACA/ACCA with a strong foundation in accounts preparation and bookkeeping. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. - Excellent report and letter writing skills.
