My client is currently looking for a Residential Conveyancer to join their friendly team based at their Redditch office. My client is a progressive and expanding law firm with multiple offices throughout the UK. They are known particularly for their excellent standard of conveyancing work and for supporting their staff with real development opportunities. You would be undertaking your own caseload of conveyancing matters to include: freehold and leasehold work, re-mortgages, lease extensions, and title checking. You will have had at least 2 years' experience working with your own caseload and will have been exposed to all aspects of residential conveyancing. Your portfolio may include freehold and leasehold transactions, including new build, unregistered and shared ownership properties, offering you a wide range of learning opportunities. THE ROLE: Accurately inputting data onto a case management system. Logging and actioning mail and other documents. Verifying client identification. Contacting clients; providing guidance and advice and updating them regularly of progress. Liaising with lenders, brokers, solicitors, estate agencies and other third parties. Dealing with case enquiries by telephone and email. Ensuring detailed telephone notes are maintained throughout the transaction. Working from a task list; following up prompts and actioning accordingly. Checking and assessing legal information and documents in line with agreed processes. Completing activities to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. Proactively chasing third parties, including solicitors, lenders and brokers, for signed documents. Completing searches, reviewing findings and reporting back to clients. Preparing transfer documents, letters and invoices. Requesting and checking all documents are in place and ready for exchange / completion. General housekeeping filing and administration. Ensure compliance with company policy PERSON SPECIFICATION: Some previous experience as Residential conveyancing supporting or carrying a portfolio of cases Excellent verbal and numerical skills A good general education is required for an A-Level or equivalent. Client-focused with strong communication skills - written and verbal. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Good IT skills. An eye for detail.
