Qualified Conveyancer/Residential Property Lawyer (10427) About the firm Our client is an established and respected legal services company based in Exeter which specialises in providing first class equity release and residential conveyancing services on a national basis. The team is primarily comprised of experienced equity release specialists who pride themselves on offering efficient, professional and impartial legal advice to their clients on lifetime mortgages and reversion plans. In response to increases in client demand for residential conveyancing services, the company have decided to invest in their own team focusing on high-value residential property transactions, and this new role is part of that growth strategy. The senior management team have taken time to listen to what their people value, and as a result, all staff work compressed hours (5 days in 4, with a mid-week non-working day), providing a genuine work-life balance. Whilst in general, the team prefers to be together in the office on their working days, it is possible that some hybrid working may be available for the right candidate. About the role Joining this busy and supportive team, you will be running your own caseload of Conveyancing & Residential Property matters including: liaising with clients, stakeholders and third parties regarding high-value freehold/leasehold, purchases, sales and remortgage matters taking instructions, dealing with client queries over the phone and in person preparing, advising, and drafting necessary documents working proactively with another Conveyancing fee earner, you'll be working collaboratively with the wider equity release team as needed, offering guidance to less experienced staff members maintaining excellent file administration standards with a strong understanding of the relevant compliance required in this highly regulated area of law. About you As an experienced and fully qualified Residential Conveyancer or Residential Property Lawyer (full CILEX, SRA, CLC or SQE routes welcomed), you will ideally have at least 2-3 years' experience of fee earning and independently managing your own caseload within a residential property team. With good prior experience in a local or regional law firm or legal services company, you are comfortable working collaboratively within a busy team environment, liaising directly with clients and third parties in the interests of progressing each matter. You are confident speaking with clients about the more complex elements of their case, taking pride in your work and being self-motivated to deliver great results to each client you work with. You possess excellent communication and client care skills, being professional, perceptive and calm under pressure when working to deadlines and prioritising your time.
