Our client based in Alton is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. The role is full time and offers hybrid working and would suit a detail-oriented individual who is able to work effectively under pressure. Accounts Payable Assistant - About The Role Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager you will be responsible for ensuring intercompany and 3rd party suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms. Your key responsibilities will be: Administration of Purchase Ledger Accounts Reconcile supplier statements received and receipts on relevant ledgers Communicate with suppliers and other staff members to pay authorised debt Process, code, and match purchase invoices at high volume Ensure correct authorisation has been received for invoice approval Set up new accounts Process direct debits onto ledger Prepare payment runs for authorisation Collaborate closely with other departments as needed to facilitate payment of supplier debt The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have/be: Strong numerical ability High level of accuracy and attention to detail Capable of handling pressure effectively Skilled in building collaborative relationships Ability to deal with difficult situations Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative Howett Thorpe are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role and comply with all relevant UK legislation and do not discriminate on any protected characteristics.
