Role Overview: As an Early Years Sufficiency and Market Development Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the community has sufficient childcare places to meet local demand.

Acquire detailed local knowledge of the Early Years and Childcare market and work with providers to secure sufficient places to meet local demand.
General
To provide high quality advice and support for all providers and prospective providers of Early Years and Childcare places including childminders, schools, academies and private, voluntary and independent settings.
To ensure that the local authority meets its statutory duty to secure sufficient early years and childcare provision.

To undertake the identification of opportunities for commissioning of a defined sub area of care and support/public health or prevention services.
Drawing up service specifications, and developing clear quality standards and desired outcomes for services, including those in multi-agency environments, by liaising with SCC colleagues, stakeholders, partner organisations, service users and carers.
Provide a friendly and professional point of contact for the Operations Team and Sub Contractors for any queries or concerns.
Interpret and log data, inputting details into an in-house system, providing and tracking o work on a regular basis understanding of the status of the work and ensure SLA's are met.
