Job Title: Building Surveyor Job reference: 82427 Venn Group has been approached by social housing provider within Greater Manchester to recruit for a Building Surveyor on a 9-month fixed term contract. As the successful candidate you will have experience working as a Building Surveyor. Duties will include: Management of the contracted programmed improvement works to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and value for money Work collaboratively with contractors and other stakeholders including tenants and resident groups Organise and manage multi-disciplined project-team meetings which may include resident representatives Manage the budget on projects, be responsible for validation and acceptance / rejection of any financial or programmed variations Accurately measure and ascertain construction of a range of building stock Develop design solutions for a range of components including, kitchens, bathrooms, windows and general refurbishment Undertake stock condition and retrofit surveys of properties and ensure this information is accurately updated within the asset management database Carry out adaptation inspections and report back on feasibility of carrying out the changes Project manage the installation of adaptation programs to ensure these are delivered in timescale and within budget Work with customers during routine inspections to understand how they use energy within their home and establish what improvements are required to reduce the risk of customers falling into fuel poverty Use EPC's to target property interventions that will increase the energy efficiency of customers homes, ensuring stock meets the minimum of SAP C ratings Review stock condition data, and contribute to the development of investment plans which increase the sustainability of stock Carry out surveys on properties moving through the right to buy process where required Contribute to the development property improvement plans to ensure our investment is targeted at the right area, using you knowledge of the housing stock Maintain computer based and manual office systems and records to ensure the validity and integrity of data To prepare and obtain quotes and tenders in accordance with the company's Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, and contractual obligations Essential Skills/Qualifications Building Surveying qualification (BSc, HND, HNC etc or equivalent) Own transport (mileage paid) Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
