Hours: Full time, 5 over 7 shift pattern (40 hours per week), Hours: 06:00 to 14:30 Contract Type: Permanent Location: Wimbledon, London SW19 Salary: £40,000 Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Shift Manager for our facility in Wimbledon. Here at Solstice, we supply some of London's top Restaurants, Hotels, Bars & Catering Companies with freshly prepared seasonal produce 6-days a week. As a Shift Manager you will be managing a manufacturing team to ensure all daily orders are completed in full and on time and to the required safety and quality standards. There are approximately 80 factory staff on site, and you will have ad-hoc responsibility for managing all areas of the factory from time to time, however your core focus will be in Low-Risk (Low-Care) food preparation and washing. Accountabilities: Management, development and leadership of your team in the delivery of an operationally excellent production. Compliance with all company operational standards. Continuous improvement activities associated with lean manufacturing. Measurement of productivity and compliance (shift handover generation). Take ownership of department KPIs ensuring targets are met through the management and monitoring of team member performance. Manage and control product cost to ensure compliance to established cost models (overtime, yield compliance, waste monitoring, productivity, head count). Onboarding and training new team members. Ensure all stock of RM and FG is accurately processed using business systems and protocols- currently SAP based. Establishing and support training needs of individuals within your team to meet functional and individual plans. Ensure compliance with the maintenance schedules/documentation of all company equipment. Maintaining BRCGS food manufacturing standards. To be successful in your application, we are looking for: Significant previous experience in a similar role. Previous experience working in a prepared Fruit and Vegetables setting. HACCP and Food Safety Management trained. Ability to use a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (Desirable). Knowledge of fresh produce quality standards.
