They will work closely with colleagues in the Finance Data & Reporting Office (FDRO) and the wider Finance Function to support the data governance function, ensuring the availability, quality, and compliance of my client's data assets. This role will require a strong understanding of data management principles, compliance regulations, and technology trends. Role Responsibilities Implementing and maintaining the enterprise-wide Data Management strategy and framework associated with metadata management, data quality management, master and reference data management, data security and compliance. Work with the security and compliance leaders to establish and manage data privacy standards and access controls to protect and secure data. Establish and provide enforcement support for data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Development and maintenance of the enterprise data artifacts (data models, CRUD matrices, business glossary, and data catalogue). Develop and report on key performance indicators regarding data quality, compliance with data-related policies, standards, and other data governance program objectives. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement efforts leading to efficient data governance processes. Communicate and educate business owners and stewards on data best practices. Collaborate with data architect(s) and data engineering colleagues to ensure the creation and optimization of consistent data quality checks. Role Requirements Strong understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and frameworks. Experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide data governance strategies and frameworks. Ability to establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. Proficiency in various aspects of data management, including data quality, data security, metadata management, master, and reference data management. Knowledge of data privacy, data security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, DPA). Excellent partnership and engagement skills to collaborate with leadership, IT teams, and business end-users. Ability to work closely with business leaders to identify and prioritise critical data elements and align data governance initiatives with business objectives. Strong communication and liaison skills to serve as a data governance and data management liaison between leadership, lines of business, IT, and end-users. Ability to effectively communicate data governance policies and best practices to business owners and stewards.
