Compliance Officer Fixed term contract (part-time, 12 months), Berkshire Are you a compliance professional in the pharmaceutical industry? Are you looking for a role with flexible working? If you said yes, look no further. SRG are exclusively working with a medium sized, entrepreneurial family-owned pharma company looking for a Code Compliance Officer to join their Compliance team. This team in embedded within the wider Medical Affairs team, which includes a field-based Medical team and a Medical Advisor based in their offices in Berkshire. The Compliance Officer operates as an internal advisor to the wider company regarding issues of compliance. The successful candidate will be expected to work within the company compliance systems to develop and maintain company standards, helping to ensure their initiatives and materials reach the many thousands of people burdened with iron deficiency and anaemia, whilst maintaining company standards in line with the principles of the ABPI and IPHA Code of Practice and other relevant legislation. Main Responsibilities include: Contributing to the development of promotional and non-promotional materials and activities, ensuring the Company meets all relevant legal and compliance obligations Act as a contact for sales, marketing, medical teams, supporting / advising on compliance requirements to ensure compliant conduct Work cross-functionally with Medical and Commercial teams to ensure correct prioritisation of workload Ensure regular compliance training of employees on all matters relating to compliance Proactively identify gaps in company processes related to compliance and work with Compliance Manager to drive implementation of improvements Support management of the company's electronic compliance approval process (Veeva PromoMats) In addition to the responsibilities above, the Compliance Officer will also be expected to support with some Safety Officer activities. Role Requirements: Minimum 6 months experience working in a pharmaceutical company (or allied business), in a role requiring the application of Code requirements to projects and materials is essential Education to BSc level or equivalent is essential - qualification in healthcare sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, physiology, pharmacology or similar is desirable Good working knowledge of the ABPI, IPHA, EFPIA Codes of Practice, MHRA Blue Guide and BHBIA guidelines is essential Experience using Veeva Vaults PromoMats system is desirable Experience in creating SOPs is desirable Project Management experience is desirable To Apply If you are interested and want to find out more about this role, please click to apply or contact Theo Charles to discuss further.
