An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Director of Legal (Monitoring Officer) to join a local authority, based in Lincolnshire, for a period of 4-6 months.
This hybrid business model requires a candidate with monitoring officer experience, who can ensure that the council meets its legal and statutory obligations as set out in the Localism Act 2011, Local Government & Housing Act 1989, as amended by Local Government Act 2000.
Key Responsibilities
Discharging the Monitoring Officer functions set out in the Localism Act 2011, the Local Government Act 2000, the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and elsewhere.
Closely manage a range of specialist contractors and as required directly employed technicians, to ensure that all the Councils statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are achieved.
Through regular checking and governance of the processes you will identify areas of non-compliance and liaise with the business and our external providers to rectify process failures and recover any financial loss.
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Advisor is to complete regular quality assurance activity on the Flexible Recruitment processes, focusing on the end-to-end order to invoice process of flexible resource, provided by Angard.
You will also support the development of systems, processes and policies as we develop this side of the team and create a robust governance framework for Flexible Recruitment.
