Compliance Admin Bristol (on-site) £26k My client is looking for a Compliance and Payroll Administrator to work in their office. They are an independent, SEND specialist recruitment agency finding work for Teaching Assistants and Teachers. They are passionate about providing the highest levels of staffing services to their clients and supply. This role is based in their central Bristol office and the hours are: 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 7am-4pm on a Friday. The Role: Compliance checks for every candidate interviewed by consultants. Sending for references, checking they meet safeguarding standards and cover all necessary gaps. Ensuring candidates have a right to work in the UK. Processing DBS checks for candidates. Working with the consultants to ensure candidates are suitable for the role and have provided all necessary documents. Providing a smooth and easy journey through the recruitment process for the candidates. Assisting consultants as to when candidates need overseas police checks and how to obtain those. Keeping up to date with regulatory changes such as Right to Work, or Safeguarding. Your new company An established and growing organisation with recent charity status is seeking a Compliance and Governance specialist to join the team on a hybrid basis (2 days a week in the office). The organisation have their head office based in the South West in Bristol and a second site in the South East. This role is to start as soon as possible and interested candidates should be on short notice periods. Your new role This is an exciting, interesting and very varied opportunity working for an amazing charity and dynamic, changing culture, and includes elements of Governance, Risk and Business Continuity as well as broader Corporate Compliance and Governance. You will be: - Developing and implementing an organisation-wide Global Governance Framework and Business Continuity Plan, ensuring the plan is embedded and effective. This may require some international travel. - Organising, facilitating and ensuring good practice is met in meetings of governance bodies, and leadership teams. - Acting as the secretariat to the board and subcommittees of the organisation. - Coordinating the recruitment of trustees, non-executive board members, and advisors, ensuring that membership and recruitment align with the commitment to the required values and standards - In partnership with the leadership team, maintaining any necessary statutory registers and ensuring that formal documentation is filed with appropriate bodies, as required Overseeing all regulatory requirements, legal interactions, regulatory compliance, procurement, insurance and contracts - Coordinating necessary regulatory and legal changes to support the organisation's development, including registrations in new countries. - Developing processes and systems effectively and efficiently to support the expansion into new geographies, minimising risks where possible. - Acting as a subject-matter expert, supporting departments in relevant activities, providing guidance, support and training What you'll need to succeed You could come from a variety of backgrounds to be successful in this role, including: governance, compliance, legal, company secretarial, risk management, and you should hold a relevant qualification in one of these areas, such as IRM, ICSA etc You should have advanced knowledge, understanding and practical application of regulatory compliance and corporate governance and risk management in the not-for-profit sector in the UK. You may also have experience working internationally in different jurisdictions and have an understanding of different regulations and requirements across the globe. You will need to be very adaptable and happy working in a constantly changing environment, with the excitement that this brings. You should be able to start a new role at relatively short notice, And be happy travelling internationally if required (as determined by the individual in collaboration with your line manager).
