We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Compliance Analyst to join our London team. Reporting into a Compliance Manager, your position will involve supporting the Compliance function in ensuring that the firm meets its regulatory objectives. Please note that this is an onsite role and you will be required to be in the London office 5 days per week ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep abreast of regulatory developments. Assess applicability, assist with proposing and project manage solutions through to implementation in a timely manner. Assist with project work dependent on thematic regulatory topics, business projects or BAU. Contribute to and/or manage responses to regulatory queries/requests, consultation papers as they apply and regulatory audits. Assist with the resolution of findings. Work with the business units to develop a good understanding of their strategy, services and products. Work collaboratively with Compliance colleagues sharing best practice and promoting open dialogue and communication. Review/approve/oversee client categorisation, including elective professional client opt ups. Maintain adequate oversight and ensure regulatory reporting obligations are fulfilled. Contribute to on-going work to ensure that the principles of TCF are being met. Assist with advice/guidance to the business and oversight of the handling of key areas of Compliance, including client money, financial promotions, and product governance etc., and ensure that employees are made aware of and understand their regulatory responsibilities. Assist the department in maintaining adequate records. Assist the Compliance Manager with bespoke compliance training to staff, focusing on key aspects of the business and current regulatory issues. Assist in the support of the risk process within the region to identify, assess, treat, report; monitor risks promoting a strong risk culture. Assist in maintaining the regulatory correspondence register Assist with or manage, as appropriate, ad hoc business projects and implementing regulatory change projects. Assist with providing sufficient management information in order to allow the board and management visibility of Compliance. Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Regulatory knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry. Role Overview We are looking to recruit a Compliance Assistant to provide support to the Residential Compliance team and UK offices, both Residential and Non-Residential. The role will include reviewing and responding to day-to-day compliance queries including but not limited to terms of business and staff sales, organising meetings, supporting the Compliance Manager with the Regional Compliance Advisors, creating and circulating communications to the business and other related tasks and day to day support for the team in general. There may be some travel required to other Savills offices. This is a challenging and varied role and would suit someone who is organised and self-motivated and who has a high level of attention to detail. The role will be within a busy working environment, requires multi-tasking and being able to work on your own initiative building a rapport with colleagues within Savills offices. Key Responsibilities Support the business by managing our Agency Inbox reviewing and answering compliance-based queries including terms of business, staff sales and other general queries. Liaising with other stakeholders within the business including teams such as RDS, Rural Agency, Prime Purchase, Auctions and Group Legal if required. Assisting with communications within the business, including e-bulletins, blogs and other mailouts as required. Participate and organise any compliance meetings and working groups with other parts of the business and implement any changes. Organise team meetings as required, including circulating minutes and follow up on any outstanding actions. Support the Compliance Manager with the Regional Compliance Advisors, organise meetings, circulating minutes and other related tasks. Assist the Compliance team with any relevant projects or tasks if required and respond to any adhoc compliance queries. Update documents on our internal Connect site along with those held in our CRM system when required. Be available to travel to other Savills offices when required. Provide assistance when reporting is required. General admin support for the team. Key Skills Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Team Overview We are a small team of four supporting all of the Residential offices headed up by the Head of Residential Compliance, including a Customer Relations Manager, a Training Manager and we are now looking for a new Compliance Manager. We have over 40 years' experience between us at Savills and we work closely together assisting the offices with their procedures, rolling out changes to legislation, training and handling complaints across the UK. We regularly visit Savills offices as a team or individually to provide support as and when it's required and we meet as a team at our Head Office as often as we can. We work closely with stakeholders in other divisions, and attend external meetings to represent Savills along with other industry experts.
