The business has tasked us with sourcing a Company Accountant, a permanent, full time role that can be operated on an on-site arrangement with a degree of hybrid working to be negotiated if required. This will be a broad and diverse role that works closely with a highly experienced Managing Director and the company's long standing team of employees. The MD is hoping to locate a commercially astute accountant that can add a range of value to the business through the innovation of new and existing finance initiatives. Key responsibilities to include: Key responsibilities to include: Regularly liaison with the company directors and senior management team, acting as a key point of contact to long standing internal and external stakeholders Assume overall operational responsibility for the smooth running of the end-to-end finance function Preparation and presentation of management accounts with commentary Cashflow forecasting and reporting Preparation of P&L and balance sheet reports Aged debtor management Oversee supplier payment runs Production of annual budgets Oversee weekly and monthly payroll processes VAT reporting Liaison with external accountants and auditors For this contract we seek an experienced technically and commercially astute accountant, either operating at a similar level or looking to take a step up. Whilst the successful candidate will ideally be part/fully professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), candidates who hold a full AAT qualification and consider themselves to be qualified by experience are most welcome to apply. Previous retail experience would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
