We are looking to find a determined and resourceful Business Development Specialist to take this interesting & unique role that offers the right candidate the opportunity to really make this role their own. This is a newly created position which may be particularly fitting if you find yourself looking to broaden your business development experience, like to get involved, be hands on within a highly affable family run company. The role is based in the heart of Diss, on the Norfolk Suffolk border, hybrid working with a salary which equals your experience and needs. This trusted organisation pride themselves on offering their clients an expansive range of bespoke conversion services, including slitting, rewinding, guillotining, folding, gluing, and die-cutting using their high-tech specialist machines such as Titan ER610 Compact Slitter/Rewinder', rewinding machine, Zund G3 Digital cutter, Polar E92 Guillotine, along with a range of other machinery associated with print, industrial films, and the packaging industry. It's the utilisation of these high-quality services from their specialist equipment where PEL sees their opportunity for growth alongside expanding the sales opportunities within their existing client base. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the business, have the experience and knowledge with a proven track record in Business Development and Account Management to take PEL's already successful services and products to the next level. As a Business Development Specialist, you'll need to Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, customers, products, and services, or new ways of reaching existing markets. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives to ensure the plant is running to capacity. Generate leads and cold call prospective customers, both face to face and over the phone. Foster and develop strong relationships with customers, clients, and partners to enable repeat business as well as finding new opportunities. Be hands on when required and have the ability to work collaboratively within all areas of the business including the customer service team who will support in account management. Attend exhibitions and fairs to successfully promote products and services. You will have: A successful B2B sales/business development background, ideally within the printing, packaging, or conversion industry. Ideally, experience within a hands-on, production environment would be advantageous. The dedication and commitment to building strong relationships with both new and existing customers. Resourceful in nature with the ability to research the market to identify credible leads. A personable, professional approach to negotiations with a confidence to deliver great presentations to potential clients and structured sales strategy to senior management. The ability to work strategically, collaborating with marketing and other areas of the business to deliver company objectives. A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.
