General Administrator £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) Wallingford My client is a UK company established over 40 years ago by a small group of former university scientists. The company consists of a small team specialising in the manufacture of a range of high voltage, high speed scientific instruments that are sold around the world. The customer base consists of universities, government research labs and defence labs, some of these are overseas, especially USA, Japan, France, and Germany. They are currently looking for a general administrator with some accounts experience to join our team. Key responsibilities include: Dealing with enquiries through emails, letters and telephone Carrying out routine duties following company procedures, e.g. Processing incoming orders and outgoing shipments Processing customer and supplier invoices Reconciling invoices for credit card statements Carrying out monthly bank reconciliations of Preparing quarterly VAT return Working with the company's accountants on monthly payroll Maintaining attendance, holiday and sickness records Packing and shipping, including import/export paperwork where required (typically 90 - 100 items p.a.) Our client is an innovative IT company based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, which develops software and web sites for estate and letting agents. Their core business is based around their Windows based property management software; Acquaint CRM, which is installed at over 700 clients in the UK and Ireland. They are also developing a new web-based interface to their products and provide/maintain web sites for over 250 of their clients. They are seeking an energetic person to join their team. This role will be a hands-on position and require an individual who is self-motivated, resourceful and an excellent communicator. They see the role being focused on developing new business leads and opportunities and also providing some customer training. A salary will be paid with a generous commission. Working hours are Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm. They offer working from home 2 days a week, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare and a pension scheme. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Plan and carry out direct sales activities, principally by email, telephone but also in the form of seminars and attendance at trade shows Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by email, post, telephone, and personal visits Provide product demonstrations, principally on-line but occasionally on site.
