What you will be doing: Set up and operate flexographic printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials on corrugated packaging. Monitor the printing process to ensure consistent print quality and make adjustments as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the printing process. What you will need to succeed Relevant manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry with relevant experience of flexographic printing. Understanding of various product ranges within the packaging industry and quality control processes and requirements within the production schedule. Computer literacy, able to use MRP's, (Material Resource Plan), such as ABACA PKG 3000. What you will receive in return: £30,500 negotiable based on experience. Shift work with 2 alternate rotational shifts (Early: 5:45 to 14:00 ) - (Late 13:45 to 22:00) Shifts rotate on a week of Early and a week of lates. 29 days holidays including Bank Holidays, increasing after two years, at one day for the next 3 years, to a total of 32 days. Print Machine Operator - Corrugated Packaging Our client is an independent, family owned corrugated packaging manufacturer which specialise in packaging for the ecommerce industry, offering a standard product line as well as bespoke services. They're looking for a Print Machine Operator to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the machine, making sure it is working at full capacity. Reporting to the shift manager and cell leader, the successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong technical skills and manage a small team. Print Machine Operator - Corrugated Packaging Responsibilities: Set up and operate flexographic printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials on corrugated packaging. Monitor the printing process to ensure consistent print quality and adjust as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the printing process. Coordinate with other team members to ensure production targets are met efficiently. Maintain accurate production records and reports. Lead and supervise their machine operation by communicating effectively with their machine teams and counterparts, providing machine team briefs at the start of the shift, to make sure their team is fully informed of their workload and requirements for the shift. Provide product expertise to their team and supports their team with the production workflow. Provide detailed shift handovers to other operators taking over the line, with focus on quality and any maintenance issues or irregularities during their shift. Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement processes and procedures. Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained.
