Position: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) Team: Psychiatric Liaison Team Location: Hospital Setting Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Hours: Flexible hours covering a 24/7 period Rates: Days: £25.50 per hour Nights/Saturdays: £30.50 per hour Sundays/Bank Holidays: £35.50 per hour Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist mental health assessments and interventions for patients presenting in the hospital with psychiatric needs. Conduct risk assessments and formulate appropriate care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Offer crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. Liaise with community mental health services to facilitate seamless transitions for patients between hospital and community care settings. Provide advice, guidance, and support to hospital staff on managing mental health-related issues. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with professional and organizational standards. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and clinical supervision sessions to enhance practice and ensure high-quality care delivery. Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Post-registration qualification in mental health nursing (RMN). Experience working in psychiatric liaison or similar acute mental health settings is desirable but not essential. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing clinical situations. Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
