Community Care Officers complete Care Act assessments; these are both face to face or telephone assessments, depending on the level of risk and the needs of the citizen being assessed, with consideration of mental capacity throughout.
They work with supportive colleagues, citizens, carers, statutory and community partners to provide appropriate support that will enable independence, choice and control, promoting early intervention and local community led support services to enhance well-being and respond to local community needs.
The CCO role is interesting and varied, and deals with risk management on a daily basis.
