Purpose of the role
To build positive and productive relationships with care-experienced young people to support them through their transition to adulthood and greater independence.
Working on a full time basis with a guaranteed supply contract from TimePlan you will be providing cross curricular support and cover across the school to cover teacher absences, training days and schools trips.
TimePlan Education are working with a fantastic Secondary Academy located near to Peterborough to recruit a full time Cover Supervisor from September onwards.
Previous experience in a similar role as a cover supervisor would be an advantage as would being able to demonstrate experience of behaviour management and the ability to multi task.
To support young people to navigate complex individual situations, through assessment, planning, intervention, and the co-ordination of services in accordance with national Children and Care Leavers legislation, regulations, guidance and local policies and procedures.

Knowledge and understanding of human growth and development and the particular issues relating to young people living in care.
To implement the guidance from the IRO Handbook statutory guidance for Independent Reviewing Officers and Local Authorities in relation to case management and review for children in care.
To chair Child Protection conferences and statutory reviews for Looked After Children in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Independent Reviewing Officer Guidance, requirements of the Children and Adoption Act 2002, Care Planning Regulations, Independent Reviewing Officer Handbook 2010, Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000, Children Act 2004, Working Together 2013; and to develop outcome focused plans.
