INTRODUCTION We are thrilled to be once again working with a local marketing and events agency, who are looking for an Resource Coordinator to join their team, on a temporary basis (may go temp-to-perm). THE COMPANY Our client are a fun, fast-paced, growing marketing and events agency that work with some of the biggest and well known brands. Due to an increase of projects, they're looking for a Resource Coordinator to help support their projects. This is initially on a 3 - 6 month basis, but the role may go to temp-to-perm. You'll be the right person for this role if you've got recent coordination experience, well organised, a strong communicator and have a positive can-do approach. In return you'll get to work in a genuinely lovely team, with a real team-collaboration ethos, working on some really exciting projects and getting stuck in to everything that the company has to offer. Please note, you will need to hold a valid UK drivers licence as this role involves some kit collections from local suppliers (in company vehicle). THE ROLE OF A RESOURCE COORDINATOR Responsible for the coordination and repair of all client resources (this could be anything from stands for exhibitions and kits, to props, tables, graphic displays - anything that's used onsite at various marketing events). This role includes reviewing repairs and suggesting the most efficient and cost effect solutions (working with the inhouse repair team). Working alongside our in-house production team, and suppliers. Planning in repairs around when items need to be used next, ensuring these are followed through and kit is returned in a timely manner ready for the next use. Supporting the wider operations team with kit collections from local suppliers and vehicle maintenance drop offs. Supporting the wider team on a range of ad-hoc tasks if needed. THE REQUIREMENTS OF A RESOURCE COORDINATOR Strong communicator - confident and able to communicate with a range of individuals (both internal and external), face-to-face, over the phone, and email. Able to time-manage and prioritise. Happy to work autonomously, as well as part of the wider team. Great attention to detail. Can-do attitude Strong computer skill-set, including all Microsoft packages. Full UK drivers licence DETAILS 9am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday, £11.44 - £12.50 per hour Paid weekly Immediate start Norwich based (NR6)
Your new company Operating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water. Your new role Working on the major highways improvement scheme in the Norfolk region, they require a Sub Agent to support the Site Agent effectively and professionally monitoring and supervise site works including subcontract packages. Delivered in accordance with company procedures, programme requirements and project specifications. Some of the duties involved (but not limited to): Produce a 3 month lookahead for your section of works, including more short term 2 & 4 week lookahead Record progress and compare it to planned production for your section. Communicate this progress with relevant stakeholders. Produce plans for your works section considering sequences, constraints and interfaces and communicate them with relevant stakeholders. Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to perform their duties effectively. Communicate effectively with other engineers, supervisors, enabling functions, designers, and client representatives. Coordinate supply chain partners to contribute to design solutions at the appropriate time to deliver a right first time design solution that can be constructed with "no in-flight change" Ensure construction issues are raised promptly through the delivery team, with an appropriate level of escalation to determine a suitable resolution Understand the design specifications and drawings for your section. Challenge where relevant. Generate temporary works design briefs to a standard accepted by the Temporary Works Coordinator Collaborate with others to plan your works to minimise health and safety hazards. Carry out regular safety inspections and implement recommended courses of action as identified from progress monitoring and management inspections Set and maintain clear expectations for health and safety with your team and suppliers working on your section. Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety Policies and procedures What you'll need to succeed Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering Experience in delivering major highways schemes.
