CNC Offline Programmer - CAD/CAM - HyperMill As a CNC Offline Programmer, you'll be at the heart of this large successful precision engineering companies production process, translating design concepts into reality. Your responsibilities will include: CNC Programming: Develop precise 3 and 5 axis CNC programs using Hypermill software. Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive supporting documentation from 2D drawings and 3D models. Complex Part Programming: Tackle intricate high-precision components for CNC mills and lathes. Post Processor Resolution: Address any post-processing issues to ensure flawless execution. Shop Floor Collaboration: Work closely with our shop floor team to prove and optimise programs. Manufacturing Methods: Plan efficient manufacturing methods, including jig and fixture design. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap. Estimating Support: Leverage your expertise to assist with cutting time estimates. Technical Assistance: Provide shop floor support as needed. Qualifications and Skills We're seeking a candidate with the following qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software (Hypermill). The CAD CAM Programmer job Programming for all CNC machines using latest CAM software Excellent Drawing & Blueprint Understanding. All duties related to CAM, including: Toolpath generation, Model preparation and Continuous improvements within CAM & CNC Great working knowledge and understanding of correct tooling for correct job implementation and the benefits of such practices. Review and understand planned routing and offer improved solutions which may increase productivity Have vast experience with design concepts of fixture or work holding components. Create and maintain the part manufacturing processes. Ensure that the correct tooling is available to complete a job, and order all necessary consumables throughout the production process when required. Troubleshoot CAM related issues. General and practical knowledge of measuring tools, equipment, and concepts. Excellent working knowledge of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning. Assist and aid the Machine Setters and Operators when required. Mentoring/training as required Skills and experience required CAM software experience within a fast-paced working Environment Experience of G code and Heidenhain Control CNC recognised qualification i.e. apprenticeship or equivalent Solid experience with operation of 3 axis CNC mills. Fully trained 3 axis operator within a manufacturing environment Ability to plan work prioritise Excellent communication skills Needs to have a general understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
