The new Internal Applications Engineer will be part of a growing team. The role of a CNC Grinder: A an exciting opportunity has become available to work as a CNC grinder for an engineering company which provides state of the art one off technological and engineering resolutions for worldwide aerospace / Automotive companies and other industries. The responsibilities of a CNC Grinder: Set and operate CNC grinder. Interpret drawings and review quality specifications, ensuring parts are produced to customer requirements and company quality specifications. Designing and producing mandrels, jigs and fixtures, where applicable, in order to assist with production requirements. Following Operation Sheets, allowing parts to progress through the factory on time and on the correct pathway. Carrying out quality checks on own work using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, gauges etc, to ensure the part is produced to drawing specification. Setting and operating a wide variety of conventional & CNC machines (typically milling, turning, grinding or mill turn), in order to ensure that all parts are correctly machined in accordance with customer requirements and company quality specifications, therefore minimising scrap. Mechanical Apprentice trained or qualified by experience. Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, with guidance and supervision.
