Your new company Our client is a public sector organisation based in the square mile. They are currently looking to appoint two Licencing Officers to patrol the City of London area. Covering an area which includes iconic London landmarks such as the Tower of London, Tower and London Bridges and other historical monuments and buildings, makes this a very exciting role. This is a long-term contract role based on a 3-month rolling contract basis with shift work inclusive of weekends. Your new role As the successful candidate, you will patrol the City of London and its bridges by robustly tackling illegal street trading. The historic "Square Mile" remains the world's pre-eminent financial centre and one of the world's most exciting and iconic tourist locations. You will be empowered and authorised to enforce illegal street trading activities within the City and across our shared borders with Southwark and Tower Hamlets. Undertaking routine patrols of the City's iconic bridges - Blackfriars, Millennium, London, Tower. Carrying out all enforcement activities related to street trading including seizures, prosecutions, applications for Criminal Behaviour Orders and related legal work. Working with colleagues in the various City of London teams, adjoining Boroughs and the Police. Produce reports on enforcement activity. What you'll need to succeed Hold a qualification or training in LicencingPrevious street trading enforcement experience Be able to communicate effectively, prioritise and organise your workload, including both routine patrols and legal case workHave computer skills for the Microsoft Office suite and further training will be given for any specialist computer systems we use - e.g. Idox UniformBe flexible to attend court dates and respond to changes in trading practices.
