Supervised Contact Worker to work within our Children's Contact Centre Service (across various venues within the London Borough of Bromley).
General
The main purpose of the role is to observe and supervise contact between children and family members, or friends, either within our Children's Contact Centres/ Children and Family Centres or in the local community, and occasionally in the family home.
The candidates will have good report writing skills in order to accurately and factually describe observations of contact.
To be responsible for the direct provision of professional, child-centred contact supervision, within the Family Resource Centre and other designated locations as appropriate.
General
To ensure provision, recording, assessment and monitoring of Child Contact, with particular regard to children's racial and ethnic backgrounds and always with the needs and safety of the child as the paramount concern.
To ensure the service is delivered within its statutory obligations under legislation governing health and safety, fire safety, first aid and risk assessments.
To be responsible for providing practical and social support for children, young people and families.
To contribute to the delivery of an effective Children's Social Care Service as part of a Departmental team continuously improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
This includes contributing to care packages, recognising serious risk, promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people to make informed decisions.
