Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and enforcing process controls throughout the stages of producing and finalising statutory accounts, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities: The role requires maintaining and updating your expertise in financial accounting to guide and support the team with the latest accounting principles, standards, and regulations. You'll be tasked with enhancing financial management through the development and implementation of innovative best practices in accounting and reporting, aimed at improving operational efficiency. A critical part of your role will be to analyse current financial processes, pinpoint inefficiencies, and design solutions that streamline operations and boost productivity. Furthermore, you will establish rigorous standards and procedures to ensure uniformity in financial reporting and processes across various teams. Regular internal audits will be conducted to assess the adherence to these practices, identify any gaps or risks, and provide constructive feedback to ensure timely corrections and compliance with agreed timelines. Collaborative efforts with other departments are essential to fully understand the company's operational needs, offering tailored financial support and ensuring strategic alignment with the overall business goals. You will also identify and address training needs within the team to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of financial services. Responsibilities extend to managing all aspects of tax and statutory compliance for the organisation and its clients, ensuring all financial activities comply with legal standards. Additionally, you will oversee the company's secretarial functions, managing necessary submissions and compliance for all clients as required. This role not only demands a high level of financial acumen but also strong leadership and strategic planning skills to support the organisation's objectives and growth. The Candidate The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong dedication to providing outstanding customer service. They should be proactive, ready to engage directly with tasks, and comfortable working closely with others to enhance team effectiveness. This individual must excel in communication, capable of engaging with a variety of audiences both within and outside the organisation. A forward-looking mindset and a keen interest in learning about diverse operational methods are crucial. They should be adept at leading initiatives, solving problems effectively, and adapting practices to meet client requirements accurately. Additionally, meticulous attention to detail, especially in document preparation, and an understanding of business dynamics are essential qualities for this role. Seeking candidates with a CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CTA qualification and extensive leadership experience. A background in mid-sized or smaller companies is preferred, highlighting adaptability to varied operational scales. Remuneration: Salary £60,000 - £70,000 pa depending on experience. 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (office based) 23 days holiday plus statutory days. We are currently seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Operations Manager who's keen to find an exciting and pivotal role, where you will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining the operational processes of a successful financial division! This is a permanent office-based position located in Northamptonshire, working 9am-5.30pm Monday - Friday and offering a competitive salary.
