Chef de Partie (CDP) Salary: £31,000 per annum Location: Windsor Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our team in the heart of Windsor Great Park. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional to achieve a good home/work life balance, with time off over Christmas and New Year, and to work in excellent conditions. The role involves assisting the Head Chef in meal preparation and maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and hygiene to the required standard. Day to Day of the role: Ensure the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef. Assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals at required times and to the required standard. Help with menu planning, orders, checking and storing deliveries, and rotas as directed by the Head Chef. Work to minimise food loss and wastage. Comply with all cleaning schedules required for the kitchen. Assist with the training and development of kitchen staff. Record daily costings of menu items when required. Ensure the security of the stores during working hours and that they are securely locked at the end of the shift. Maintain daily temperature checks and records. Ensure that statutory regulations including Food Safety and COSHH are adhered to in the absence of management. Prepare and assist at special functions, which may sometimes be outside normal working hours. Address customer and client complaints or compliments and report any incidents of accident, fire, loss, theft, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities. Attend meetings and training courses as necessary. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role. Ability to supervise and share knowledge and skills with junior kitchen staff. Willingness to be customer-facing and serve groups within the dining room. Flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including evenings and weekends. Access to a vehicle is essential. Hardworking individual with good all-around kitchen skills and excellent cooking ability.
