Perform routine laboratory analyses. Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is qualified and calibrated regularly. Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data. Using a range of analytical techniques Examine analytical data and report trends using statistical software. Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and managing projects. To be considered for this position you will need the following skills and experience. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in chemistry or analytical chemistry. Previous experience in an analytical laboratory as an Analytical Chemist. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good organisation skills, with a flexible approach and the ability to manage changing priorities. Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Due to continuous growth, our client is seeking to recruit an experienced QC Analytical Chemist to join their analytical department. The role, situated in the London area, involves testing and analysis of various products, employing both wet chemistry analytical techniques and instrumental methods such as Gas Chromatography, HPLC, FTIR, DSC, Viscosity, and UV analysis to ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and Health & Safety (H&S) standards. Key Responsibilities: Sample preparation according to SOPs, work requests, procedures, and instructions. Performing calibration and daily checks of equipment, balances, and pipettes. Reporting results and drafting concise reports. Executing and documenting QC work and tasks in accordance with the Quality system. Generating Certificates of Analysis. Participating in the development and validation of analytical methods. Developing SOPs and batch records. Undertaking any other assigned tasks. Other Responsibilities: Maintaining cleanliness of the QC laboratory area, including cleaning glassware and small equipment. Managing analytical and QC laboratory supplies, collaborating with other functions, placing orders, and adhering to storage protocols for analytical materials, supplies, and small equipment as per the Quality System. Qualifications: Degree in Chemistry/Analytical Science. Experience in GC and/or HPLC analytical methods. Demonstrated ability to conduct manual and automated tests with precision and accuracy and operate associated analytical equipment. Competence in using computer software packages.
