Your new companyOur client is one of the biggest independent, family-run livestock and agricultural manufacturers in the UK, based in Shepshed, Leicestershire.The company has a fantastic 'family feel' and is still run by the family of the original founders. Your new roleYou will be tasked with providing a comprehensive credit control service in a fast-paced environment to support the business by ensuring that outstanding debts are collected in a timely and professional manner, working closely with the sales team to lead on the development and promotion of efficient cash collection and debt reduction. Key duties and responsibilities Maintain contact with customers to chase outstanding debts. Resolution of ledger queries and related phone calls. Allocating customer payment from the bank statement on a daily basis. Allocation, posting and banking of daily cheques received. The weekly and monthly posting of collection journal, notifications and processing through the bank. Produce and check monthly statements. Identify and escalate referrals and prepare information and liaise with parties involved as and when required. Take customer bank card payments as and when required. Complete credit checks. Provide credit references to external parties as and when required. Cover for other credit control colleagues in their absence. What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 1 year's experience (Credit Control) Experience/background within the Agricultural Industry is preferred, but not essential.
