Sanctuary are currently seeking a Financila Investigator to work within Nottinghamshire Council. This is a full time position of 37 hours, and we are paying £23.09 per hour for this role. The role: Manage, direct, plan and lead financial investigations into offenders being investigated/prosecuted by the Trading Standards Service with a view to recover the proceeds of crime and evidence criminal offences by use of powers under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA). To take on full responsibility of financial cases from investigation, through to Crown Court and High Court including civil recovery of cash and assets. Key Responsibilities: To fully utilise powers under POCA, achieved only by experienced and qualified Accredited Financial Investigators (AFIs)in the interests of the Authority. Without direction or instruction, to manage, plan, conduct, and complete complex money laundering and confiscation investigations into offenders subject to investigations by Trading Standards. Considering at all stages cases that require Restraint Orders, Confiscation Orders, Cash and Asset Seizures. To lead, manage and direct complex cases undertaken by the Regional Investigation Team in relation to money laundering and acquisitive crime. To produce complex statements of findings, and generate financial reports evidentially for Crown Court proceedings. To plan and conduct formal interviews in compliance with PACE Codes of Practice with suspects in relation to criminal offences and to direct colleagues with the requisite lines of questioning in relation to all financial matters. Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience Experience: 2 years working within a similar role. Compliance: Current Standard DBS check.
