HR and Recruitment Administrator Job Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week Location: Cirencester, GL7 6JS Salary: Grade 5 £25,138 - £29,605 per annum The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been at the forefront of agricultural education and a key contributor to the land-based sector for more than 175 years. The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small and busy HR & Payroll team and undertake a wide range of generalist work. For this key role you will be well-organised with great administrative skills and have previous experience in human resources. You will act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries and get involved in all aspects of the university's recruitment and selection process and the employee lifecycle. Accurately maintaining the HR database will be important too, as will managing the administration of staff training and development activities. The University are looking for lots of initiative, great communication skills and the ability to work unassisted. Analytical, proactive and with an attention to detail, you can also bring proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel together with a keen eye for process improvements. Qualifications Good standard of education with at least Maths and English at grade C GCSE or equivalent CIPD level 3 or equivalent HR qualification (desirable) Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Experience in and HR administration role Sound level of competence in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and an ability to manipulate datasets Experience using an HR and Payroll system/database Well organised with the ability to work unassisted and use initiative to manage and organise own workload Excellent customer care skills Analytical and forward thinking, with good accuracy and attention to detail Personal resilience and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressure Continually seeking to improve efficiency, recommending changes to processes where appropriate Take personal responsibility for making things happen and find practical ways to overcome barriers Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience Experience of using MHR iTrent system, including systems administration, workflows and Business Objects DBS and handling of Tier 2 visas Knowledge of Higher Education environment and current issues in Higher Education.
