We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant/Chef to work in the staff canteen for a company Head Office based in Surbiton . Job Type: Full-time Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm Salary: £30k We are looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join a vibrant catering team. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and contributing to menu ideas. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Day to Day of the Role: Assist with preparing approximately 80 hot meals and 20 cold meals per day. Ensure compliance with Health and Hygiene regulations and the kitchen's Food Safety Management System. Maintain a tidy kitchen environment, including washing up, emptying the dishwasher, and waste removal. Contribute to the creation of a changing weekly menu. Refill tea/coffee stations and fruit bowls around the building as needed. Monitor stock levels and expiry dates daily. Assist with shopping orders and receiving deliveries. Required Skills & Qualifications: Level 2 certification in Food Hygiene and Safety. Previous experience in a similar catering support role. High standards of personal hygiene. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen. Exceptional communication skills and self-motivation. Fluency in English. Ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency. Team player with the ability to work independently. Highly organised with strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
