At Bethany Lodge, we provide support for young adults with a disability in a residential home, helping to promote independence and maintain a high standard of both physical and mental wellbeing. What you'll be working: Working Part Time £12.08 Per hour Saturday and Sunday 16 hours per week ( 2x 8 hour shifts) Covering shifts during the week when needed What you'll be doing: Prepare, cook and serve food of the highest standards and which is appropriate to and meets the needs of the residents, staff and visitors Regularly review the menus in line with residents, staff and visitors requirements, including the provision of special diets (with respect to allergies, other health related issues and cultural reasons) Communicate effectively with residents, staff and visitors to ensure the provision of relevant, appealing, balanced and healthy diets Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and other visitors to the home by becoming an integral part of the team Support with the effective ordering, control and review of raw materials, labour, equipment and supplies and keeping costs in line with agreed budgets and value for money What you'll have: NVQ level 2 or above in catering Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation A positive attitude and a desire to deliver the best possible service to patients in our care. Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working. Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping. Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual. We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition. Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care. What you'll be working: FULL TIME - 36 hours per week The hours are 7am to 7:30pm and 7pm to 7:30am. What you'll be doing: Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed Communicate any issues to the clinical team Accurately report and/or record work activities Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.
