The Role: We are looking to expand Robbie's current team to support his busy and active life. This team now requires a leader to provide line management to Robbie's support workers daily basis. This role will be split between providing face to face to support to Robbie and leadership/administration tasks Robbie requires day and nighttime support with all his activities of daily living. Robbie lives in an adapted property with his parents and siblings. He attends a specialist school as a day student, Monday to Friday. Robbie is a 13-year-old boy you sustained a brain injury at the time of his birth. He has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Robbie receives nutrition and hydration via gastrostomy (feeding tube). He is hearing impaired and is reliant on hearing aids. Robbie uses Makaton Sign Language. He is a wheelchair user and is reliant on medication daily and in emergency situations Robbie can at times exhibit some challenging behaviours when overwhelmed or frustrated and needs understanding and kind support workers to be responsive to his needs. Training will be provided Robbie enjoys YouTube and playing with his virtual reality headset. He loves messy play and using his trampoline. Robbie enjoys visiting theme parks with his family. He requires full adult support to access activities, meet his needs and to ensure his safety Roles and Responsibilities: To provide line management to Robbie's team of support workers with the support of his case manager To act as a supportive, approachable, and confident leader of the team To write care plans and risk assessments to promote enriching and safe support for Robbie To adhere to local policies and procedures and demonstrate this in daily conduct To liaise with Robbie's case manager regularly regarding the functioning of his support team, celebrate success, report concerns, and seek assistance as required To meet Robbie's personal care and hygiene needs. To include washing, dressing, skin, teeth, hair, and nail care.
