To undertake statutory intervention where community members are deemed to be at risk, including situations where people may be neglected or abused in accordance with the Inter-Agency Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults.
To undertake community mental health assessments for the community needs and risks to encourage independence, provide support and prevent harm.
This includes promoting a multi-agency approach in communities by developing and maintaining effective working relationships.

The team is extremely friendly and has reports of high staff morale with some agency workers staying for over 3 years and permanent staff having been there for over 10 years.
To also manage and minimise risks of abuse and neglect as well as meeting care needs while exercising a high quality of professional judgement.
To implement positive change in complex cases in children, families and carers lives by using systemic social work methods, models and tools, with the aims of helping them to be as independent as possible.
The Social Worker will lead and oversee professional judgements in the context of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.
