Residential Childcare Worker About the Role This role is subject to - Qualification: Diploma Level 3 in working with Children and Young People in Residential Care or its equivalent; Or willingness to undertake the Diploma Level 3 in working with Children and young people within 6 months of appointment. This is a role for a full time and part time (job share) Day Residential Child Care Worker to work within a 6 bedded residential children's home. We are looking for people who believe they have the qualities and skills needed to support our children and maintain stability. You will need to be emotionally and physically fit to work with young people age 11 - 17 who can be emotionally and physically challenging and have complex needs. You will need to be able to establish and maintain relationships with the young people to challenge their existing patterns of behaviour. You will create a culture and ethos within the home in which the needs of the young people are paramount, and they are encouraged to develop, mature and grow. In addition, you will work proactively with appropriate stakeholders to assess the individual's needs and ensure positive outcomes. About the Candidate You must hold a full driving licence to drive the homes vehicle and have 12 months experience of working with children, young people, and families.
